There are good omens if you’re looking to really rock Halloween with a great costume that is straight out of hell. One of the big TV events of the year so far has been the adaptation of the Good Omens novel.
This joint production between Amazon and BBC Studios, currently available on Amazon Prime, is based on the story from the genius minds of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.
The darkly comic fantasy adventure sees a bumbling angel and fast-living demon, who have both got used to a gentle cosy life on Earth, teaming up to prevent the coming of the Antichrist and to stop Armageddon.
The demon Crowley, who was the snake that tempted Eve to eat the apple in Eden, is played superbly by David Tennant. Not only does the role provide great entertainment, it also gives inspiration for some hell-raising cosplay.
There is a variety of Crowley outfits to choose from, often blurring the lines between outrageous and stylish, but the general colour palette is black with touches of grey and dashes of snake symbolism. Oh, and you’ll need that flame-red hair which Tennant sports, again with a choice of styles from short and funky to the long-haired rocker look.
However you choose to do it, you’ll need to remember one vital detail – Crowley hasn’t completely shaken his snake form and the truth is in his eyes. Tennant wore snake-eye contacts in the show and so to complete his appearance you should also consider a pair of Halloween colored contact lenses.
Yellow reptile-eye contacts look spectacular and will give anyone who glances at you a good Halloween shock! We can’t provide you with Crowley’s beautiful Bentley car, but at least with a pair of these lenses you’ll look like a proper demon.
One more pro tip, don’t wear Crowley’s sunglasses all the time as they will cover up your stunningly demonic colored eye contacts! As always, if you’re buying Halloween contacts, make sure you do so from a reputable source, you get the highest quality products and you follow all the safety instructions to protect your eye health.
Finally, we would love to see your Halloween contacts in action, whether it’s Good Omens, or anything else epic that uses coloured contacts to complete the awesome outfit. Share your images with us on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds.
